ILC: Making Rangelands Secure

The Rangelands Initiative is a network of projects, processes, and activities that have a common vision and goal: to make rangelands more secure for local rangeland users. The Initiative generates and shares innovative solutions for securing land and resources in rangelands through research, knowledge generation and experience sharing. It engages and works with communities and governments to develop and pilot the implementation of supporting policy and legislation for securing land and resources. Through collaborative action between ILC members, partners and communities the Initiative increases opportunities for the voice of rangeland communities on land and resource security to be given attention in high-level government or inter-government decision making processes. Technical support to the Initiative is provided by RECONCILE and ILRI.
